Fixed Term – 23 Months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Wellbeing Practitioner for Care Experienced Children and Young People to join our Children and Families Health Team in Argyll and Bute for a fixed term of 23 months.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate, skilled and motivated practitioner that can deliver care that is safe, effective and person centred to join us.
You will provide support to the Children and Families Health team in improving health outcomes for Care Experienced Children and Young People through delivering flexible, high quality specialist support to children & young people, their carers and professionals.
Working in a remote and rural area like Argyll & Bute, offers a unique opportunity to work within dynamic teams with beautiful scenery, in some of the most beautiful and breath-taking landscapes in the UK.
You will have access to clinical supervision and line management support, you will work as part of a wider Multidisciplinary Team, which will provide you with opportunities to work alongside Health, Education, Social Work colleagues amongst others.
To apply you are required to meet the essential criteria:
• Good communication skills, (written and verbal) and experience dealing with sensitive issues
• You will require some knowledge of GIRFEC, Child Protection and Care Experienced processes and be an effective communicator with children, parents and families

• Knowledge of the current context of the health agenda for Care Experienced Children and Young People, this includes an understanding of the legal framework, key national policy drivers, and national and local priorities for health improvement.
• Awareness of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its application within a clinical setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within the Argyll and Bute to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
