We are currently seeking a medical and experienced healthcare professional to become a School Nurse for a school in Croydon!
As the School Nurse you will supervise the medical room and provide a clinically effective, high-quality nursing and first aid service. In addition to caring for sick, injured and distressed individuals from the school community, you will contribute to the monitoring and recording of the health status of all pupils at the school.
School Nurse Summary:
- To provide health services to students when they are at school.
- To treat injuries and mild to acute sicknesses, or support students with chronic illnesses.
- To provide preventive care by educating students on how to avoid communicable diseases and having proper hygiene.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students.
- Collaborating with parents and healthcare professionals to develop specialised health plans for students in need.
School Nurse Requirements:
- Qualified Nurse (RGN/RN)
- DBS clearance
- Nursing qualification desirable
- Strong administrative skills
- Welcoming and friendly personality
- Genuine enjoyment of working with young people
