We harness the protective and therapeutic effects of connectedness and healthy social networks in our unique community where people share with, and support each other, peer to peer. We’re inspired and driven by the power of people when combined with technology in helping to eradicate poor mental health, globally. Our ambition is to provide a service that supports as many people as possible who are going through a tough time. We realise that to make our ambition reality, we need a passionate, talented and equally motivated team to make it happen.
After a period of strong growth, significant investment in our online platform and big plans in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and beyond, we are growing our team.
Our Mental Wellbeing Practitioners are typically from counselling, psychotherapy, or a related Mental Health, background. They are there to provide moderation ,oversight of our peer support community and will need to provide professional support ensuring the safety, engagement and anonymity of members, alongside providing person-centred emotional and psychological assistance.
Our Mental Wellbeing Practitioners are experienced in supporting emotionally or psychologically vulnerable adults to manage their own distress. For some of our member in crisis you’ll provide empathetic support and encouragement online through listening, questioning and engagement, and are able to convey complex and emotionally sensitive ideas through written content.
You’ll be experienced in working with risk, understanding risk mitigation and escalation, respecting professional boundaries with the ability to remain calm and make clear decisions under pressure, and manage graphic content without judgement. And it goes without saying that you will be a professional body member (BACP, CCPA or NZAC usually).
Our Mental Wellbeing Practitioners are employed and home-based and our benefits package includes health and retirement benefits, depending on location and hours. Because our service is 24/7, we are able to offer flexible working patterns, all we ask is that you are available for a minimum of two 6 hour overnight shifts a week, with some flexibility to cover other overnight and weekend shifts.
The United Kingdom shift that we are currently recruiting for is midnight – 6:00am.
