Course outline
This training package comprises of 12 webinars on a variety of medical topics, the purpose of which is to provide updates on medical conditions and refresh skills. This box set is suitable for all organisations who wish to further their knowledge with a view to supporting their employees within the work environment. It is also aimed at supporting school nurses with their training and development needs; helping them to raise the standards of care provided in schools, this could count as CPD as part of their revalidation. Webinars will be recorded so if you cannot attend the day or have missed any of the box set, they can be available for you to view when convenient.
This training is available to purchase as a single webinar or part of the Hieda box set series.
This set will be £600 for a member series place.
Anger is often, but not always, related to poor mental health or trauma. This webinar aims to provide delegates with an understanding of the causes of anger problems and strategies for working with young people who find it difficult to control their anger.
Training topics will include:
- An overview of the common reasons that cause some people difficulties with controlling their anger
- Recognising the behaviours and symptoms caused by anger, not always related to aggressive behaviour towards others.
- Advising and supporting those in need of anger management strategies.
Learning outcomes:
- An understanding of how stress and anxiety can lead to anger
- A better understanding of how anger can be prevented or diverted.
- Increased confidence in supporting people in need of anger management strategies.

Rosie McManus RSCN, Dip HR (Child), BSc (Hons), MSc (Law), Head of Boarding, St John’s College School
Trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children Rosie came to school nursing in the independent sector 16 years ago. With a passion for boarding pastoral and health care Rosie has developed an interest in the understanding and development of the health needs of boarding school students. Passionate about the nurse’s role in the delivery of the PSHE curriculum, Rosie is currently the Head of Boarding at St John’s College School, she has a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law, is a NUCO trainer and has a keen interest in the development of the school nurse role.
