Advice & Guidance

HIEDA’s Senior Nurse Advisors are always happy to speak with members and support with advice and guidance where possible. We aim to respond to enquiries within 24 hours as much as possible however our advisors do run their own, school-based, health centres and may not always be able to respond so quickly.

For urgent advice or guidance, we encourage members to contact NHS 111 or indeed 999 in the event of an emergency.

For less urgent enquiries, please share as much detail as reasonably possible by initial contact so the HIEDA team can relay this to our Senior Nurse Advisors for response.

Support available includes:

  • Telephone and email troubleshooting and advice
  • Guidance on change management
  • Development and improvement support
  • Education/ inset training both bespoke or as inhouse/inset training
  • Consultancy to review medical/health/wellbeing provision
  • Pre-inspection checks and support
  • Policy checks.

This support can be accessed via telephone or email and aims to support members to provide confidence to safeguarding those in their care.
