Citizens Advice Guildford and Ash are looking for a motivated team player with a ‘can do’ attitude to help us deliver our Mental Health Project. You will report to the Casework Services Manager and will deliver a generalist advice and casework service, with specific focus on debt, benefits and housing, to clients affected by mental health issues.
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients, supporting funder reports, promoting the service to local stakeholders and building strong partnerships with both Guildford and Waverley Community Mental Health Recovery Services (CMHRS).
You will provide support from our offices or at outreach venues.
You will have a good knowledge and an understanding of advice giving in the key areas and the ability to support clients with mental health issues in a sensitive but empowering way. You will also have strong IT skills and be able to communicate clearly and effectively face-to-face, in writing and over the phone.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about meeting the needs of some of our most vulnerable clients.
Whilst experience of working within Citizens Advice would be desirable, we will happily support the right person through Citizens Advice accredited training to enable them to carry out the role.
Every local Citizens Advice is a registered charity. Different application procedures are adopted by individual local Citizens Advice. Contact the relevant one as outlined in the information about this role. You should not send an application form to national Citizens Advice.
All local Citizens Advice produce their own annual report, but you can find out more about the Citizens Advice network or download the latest national Citizens Advice annual report.
