The Duke of York’s Royal Military School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Centre Lead Clinician to oversee the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to approximately 500 full-time boarding students. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team during term-time operations, as well as collaborating with partner agencies to ensure continuity of care during school holidays. Dedicated health screenings and care planning will be provided for newly enrolled students.
This position requires strategic leadership, operational expertise, and effective communication skills to coordinate comprehensive health and wellbeing services. Key responsibilities include:
- Management: Supervise a team of nurses, administrators, and medical retainers; conduct performance appraisals, manage performance, and identify training needs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurance through audits and assessments, address incidents promptly, and manage resources efficiently.
- Safety and Hygiene: Advise on protocol development, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and support staff wellbeing.
- Liaison and Coordination: Liaise with local GP services, acute care providers, and public health services to deliver seamless care.

Requirements
We are looking for a qualified Medical Centre Lead Clinician who has:
- A degree in Nursing or Medicine, with extensive experience in clinical leadership roles.

- A strong track record of managing teams, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
