We are seeking an exceptional and compassionate individual to serve as our Boarding Matron, responsible for the health, hygiene and wellbeing of the pupils in our care.
About Prebendal School
The Prebendal School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for children aged 2 -13 years old.

Our boarding house is home to both domestic and international students from a range of countries including Hong Kong, France, Spain, Thailand, Ukraine, China and Germany.
About the Role and You
Contract type: Thursday to Sunday, 40 weeks per year
Salary: Dependent on experience with accommodation provided
Start date: September 2024
The Boarding Matron will be responsible to the Head of Boarding and will assist with the health and wellbeing of the pupils. As a night worker, you will remain awake during the night duty to ensure adequate supervision and care of the pupils, particularly ensuring that various housekeeping activities are completed to ensure the expected high level of pastoral care of the pupils is not compromised.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a valid childcare qualification.
- Has a valid UK driving license.
- Has experience working within a boarding environment.
- Is First Aid trained (desirable).
- Is approachable and friendly.
- Can stay calm under pressure.
- Is flexible and adaptable.
